Very kind and welcoming staff. The property is also very beautiful and historic. Great location to all that downtown Birmingham has to offer. Good food and cute shops. We were in town for a NYE concert, so this was just a few short blocks walk away from the Alabama Theater. It was also very quiet. Not sure if it was the side our room was on, but for New Years Eve we expected to hear a lot of outside noise. But to be fair, downtown in general was dead and you could eerily hear a pin drop.

The hotel is in a historic building in downtown Birmingham within walking distance of some but not all tourist attractions. The common areas are very pretty and inviting except the breakfast area. I wish I had more time to just relax on a couch and enjoy the place. The room was large and comfortable and clean. Very quiet place.
