I booked this as a treat for my sisters 60th birthday, she has had a very tough year after losing her son.I told the hotel it was a birthday gift and they upgraded the room and had birthday card and chocs in the room. Very thoughtful and my sister and brother in law loved their stay

for View of the sea excellent location. Hotel common areas are good but rooms not so good
Room was very small compare to the others i had booked for friends. Not enough space to move about freely. far too many furniture in the small space. Breakfast was FAB. They had full English with veggie option. with choices of pastry tinned fruits and cereals. Location was prefect. right opp the beach.

Bar and hotel staff at The Old Ship Hotel were friendly and helpful. I loved the beach front location, and appreciated hearing histories of the place from a senior member of staff who clearly loved her job. I would gladly recommend this charming establishment to family and friends. I look forward to attending a live music event in the basement there once the pandemic is over.
